If you want to go far, go together.
I started working here as an intern, while I was attending university. After I graduated, INNODOX offered me a permanent position. Since, I’m working here as a full-time Layout Designer. I like my job very much because I can always see the result of what I do. And that I work on something that people can use. There is always a challenge to be solved. When I manage to resolve one, which of course happens most of the time, I feel happy and satisfied.
It is like a small family here. The environment is not like in a large corporation. The attitude is different. The organization is flat, we are relatively small, the people are great, the mood is good. There is no crazy rush that I hear from other places. This is a livable office to where it is good to come in.
There are always challenges in software development. Not everything is perfect for the first time. In this case - in addition to thinking about fixing errors in the longer term - we need to provide immediate solutions to overcome a problem. There are always new requirements that need to be answered, so continuous concentration and attention is required.
I was taught programming at the university however, it had little to do with real life. I have improved here in a month as much as I learnt in two years at the university. I have improved at almost every field since I’m working at INNODOX. Here I don’t have to solve artificially made-up situations, but I can work with real-life problems.
The team building. Very interesting programs. It was not just a usual wine tasting or dinner, but a well-thought-out, two-day event that made everyone feel important. For me - like for many others - the Segway was the best.
Four years ago, while still attending university, I started working at INNODOX as an intern. Luckily, I stayed. Initially, I started as a developer, but today I’m working as an architect as well. I really enjoy visiting our customers and developing professional relationships with them. My three favourites are Fundamenta, HBO and Uniqua.
I consider satisfied customers as part of my personal success; therefore the high level of customer satisfaction always serves as a positive feedback to me. When our clients not only talk about the business during a project, but also exchange some nice words on a more personal level. This will only happen if they are satisfied with the solution we provide.
I completed internship at other companies before and comparing those firms to INNODOX I find, there is clearly more work here. However, here the atmosphere is a lot more tolerant. More work and responsibility come with looser strings. Essentially, we are treated as grown-ups.
My first team building three years ago. We were hiking, attended a wine-tasting session and a buffet dinner. For me it was memorable as I got to know the team there. I could drink a round with everyone, which gave a very good “tone” to the evening.😊
I have been working at INNODOX since 2014. I started as a designer of layout design and in the last four years I have learned three more languages. My work is not always about sitting in front of a monitor. Sometimes we visit our clients, install programs or occasionally introduce them into new solutions. Once we developed an ad hoc template for a customer on site. They explained their needs and I developed the layout immediately. Of course, you need an infrastructure that you can do this with.
The most important thing for me is that I feel that my work is appreciated here. It is also important that there are no fixed working hours. When the job is done, no one will see when I come and go. Due to the size of the company the atmosphere is very friendly as it was a family.
My previous tasks are no longer a challenge, but there is always something new and exciting. I recently worked on a project to create interactive documents and develop some solutions to meet customer needs that have never been achieved before.
I really enjoyed the teambuilding event this year. Driving on the segway and archery were the two of my favorites. I also liked the one of last year: fly, cook and drink.
